wintry mix

its snowing & sleeting in combination. the ice hitting the windows sounds unfamiliar- snapping and popping but occasionally like rain- very nice to my ears. i had to go into burruss about 45 minutes ago to retrieve my bookbag and stuff i'd left, in case the school's closed up tomorrow. i cannot afford to be separated from my schoolwork this weekend

ummmm.....no. no bird to my knowledge. the only animal on the hall is a turtle and billy's reptiles.

i think burruss is haunted. i've had moments where i've gone through a set of swining doors only to here them reopen and close seconds later. A spectral yanking of the chain.

it was definitely a responding whistle, not some echo.. because it made a little pattern out of it. a brief birdsong.
