The low down

Well i havn't posted anything meaningful here in a while so howsabout an update on my life?

As most are aware, Rich, Jess and I have put a holding deposit down on a flat in Riverview, Tradeston. If all goes well we shall be moving in on December 4th ^______^ As Rich and I have beds and a sofa that we want to move up we will be hiring a van in Bournemouth and I shall be driving it to MK and then Glasgow- I tingle with anticipation!!
We'll be loading up around midday of the 3rd then loading more in MK before dinner and sleep. Hopefully the next day we should be getting in before 1pm, after which signing and other necessities must be done before we can actually move the furnature into the flat.

This means none of you Glaswegianites will be safe - you will all come and lift heavy things and drink tea while dave feeds us with some kind of indian type stuff!

Before then I shall be attending the cosplay ball and meeting the twins (plus guest) I shall try not to let them intimidate me - If you can't fit one in each hand it's not for me. Looking forward very muchly to it all!

No job prospects yet - i dropped off a few cv's and rang some places but nothing yet - although the places i've handed cv's into are keeping them in case of work later on. I'm not too bothered about this though, if i don't get a vet related job straightaway then there's plenty else to try. I actually really like cleaning and seeing as it pays better than nursing there's no complaints here! Also, mum was rejected as my guarrantor as being on contract for the last 8 years wasn't stable enough for our estate agents - this means that to save any more hassle i'll be paying the full 6 months up front. After that and the move i'll have just about 2 months worth of bills/food left in savings before coming near the red. Fingers crossed!

Had a really nice christmas dinner with dad and the rest of the family as he won't be around for the real deal - we even got fireworks afterwards as it was MK's fireworks night :D we got dad a wii for his xmas/birthday pressie which he's loving - it's really hard to get him stuff seeing as most of the things we'd usually get him he can get for 1/100 the price in Indo!

Besides this i've not been up to much apart from sporadic packing. I'm getting horribly bored already - insanity today was staved off by the wonderful Kim's loan of Supernatural s2 which is pretty darn good and scary as hell! I've also been watching some j-dorama: Tokyo dogs which is ok and Smile which is also pretty good ^^ also revisited Discworld Noir the TerryP game, which is amazing, with an enthralling story and great VA work despite the tricky gameplay and bugs!

I can't say how much this move is exciting me! I can'twait to decorate my room and buy my sexy Ikea desk and cook and get my life organised again. There are so many things i want to do when i move up, i'm going to have a very full schedule (hopefully)!

Tomorrow i'm heading to the bank and FINALLY getting my money from my ISA, seriously, if they offer you one with a passbook then run a mile - those things are far too much trouble than they're worth! Then i can pay mum back and transferr the lot to another bank. Nationwide can go ride a chicken!

Speaking of birds, i'd forgotten how much noise the starlings make outside my window, also known as the bird-perch. I don't think i'd actually notice any vengeful spirits scratching at my walls what with their claws on the tiles and as for the horrificly otherworldly squeals they make to each other at 4am...

Time for bed nao. Tl;dr i'm moving house and the jobhunt continues :P

Stay sassy San Diego!

~Izzy
