that I haven't really poked my head above ground in a while, so here I am, your friendly imitator of certain groundhogs. You know it is spring!
Had chemo on 2/22, and was immediately leaped upon by a germ/virus/crud, which took me 3 weeks and much antibiotics and codeine cough syrup to get over, just in time for Chemo on 3/16. So far so good, and I felt pretty peppy right up to last night. So far I am tolerating the resumption of chemo, but it is early days. PET scan on 04/01 (will I be able to trust the results!?!) and then round TEN of chemo April 06. The CA125 had been hanging around 14-17 until we stopped chemo to do surgery, then it doubled, which is understandable, but disheartening. I can only hope that it will fall again.
The tissue assay from January revealed that the current regimen is the most effective, so no change there. I am getting pretty tired of feeling sick and tired, though. I would also like to have my brain back, please.
Work is work, been staying very very busy and barely keeping up with the massive pile of work. Still no TV except for Netflix, and I am finding all sorts of interesting things to watch. Highlander is the current thing
and I *finally* got to Methos' introduction. Wow, Peter Wingfield, so young and pretty! Also, lets not forget a very cute Nick Lea in S2's 'The Fighter'. I had also forgotten the overabundance of motorbike racing in the Rcihie storyline in S3, and I crocheted my way through several hours of vrooom vrooom... However the Highlander movies are not streaming on Netflix, just on DVD... I have 2 of them, both on VHS, because yo, they are that old! I will have to go look for alternative sources, or just uncheap the hell up and spend $12 a month on Netflix.
Apparently Babylon 5 is also streaming on Netflix, and I think I have more of those movies. Or maybe it was my sister. It doesn't matter the DVD player remote is broken, and requires replacing. I do have two other DVD players! Meanwhile, I have a copy of 'Buddha of Suburbia' that I am anxious to watch, as I loved the book. We shall see if they did an aceptable rehash!
ETA: some spoilers for Highlander S3 in comments!
