So, I understand why I don't like school right now!

I love computer science because I enjoy the problem solving aspect.

But... they're not having us solve any problems...

It's kind of shitty really...

yeah, this is sorta the "learn about problems that have already been solved" phase. I'm so pumped to be done with all this theory stuff =(

Yeah.
I'm over it.
Even in the classes we could be doing stuff, they're not assigning anything.

Theory of Computation - Theory, duh
Principles of Animation - turned into self-study
Computer Architecture and Assembler - doesn't give assignments
Databases - my prof is a fuckwit

I just want to feel useful D:

That sucks. I dislike my theory class, but it's taught by a fucking genius. My architecture class is awesome and almost makes me consider going computer engineering instead of CS, but too late to change now. The assignments are pretty easy, but we also have projects in C to make various simulators... an assembly compiler, a single cycle simulator, multi cycle simulator, pipeline simulator, and we have a cache simulator due in a few weeks.

I've got databases and object oriented programming next semester, and the OOP class is supposed to be crazy hard, but really good. I'm pumped.
