The officials in Washington were recently trying to pass new legislation which would place a tax on soft drinks as a way to combat obesity. Discuss.

I went to Asheville on Friday after my morning Accounting class. I spent the day with Adryn and her dad. He is doing a lot better! The nurses say he could be out of the hospital and checked into a rehab center in as little as a couple days! Adryn's Dad has been moved from the ICU into a normal hospital room now. The hospital estimates another week or two before he can come home. Very good news. I won't go into why, but Adryn is not happy with her Dad at all right now, except the fact that he is doing much much better. Adryn's Dad crashed his motorcycle Saturday night. He is currently in the ICU at General Missions Hospital in Asheville. He has already had two surgeries to repair his shoulder and remove his ruptured spleen. He has one punctured lung and nine broken ribs, as well as multiple scrapes and abrasions.
