an article on the recent Sunday Times left me thinking
about generation Y
but what struck me the most was that sociologist Paulin Straughan feels that
"Gen Y-ers are the product of their time"

hmm, i think the statement by the sociologist is rather generic, it's true for every generation? if you look at our parents' generation in Singapore, you can also say that they're the "product of their time" right?

yup yup agree, every generation is a "product of their time"... whats scary is how society is changing exponentially - times are changing fast... in a way, exploring unchartered territories..

Paulin Straughan, she's the vice-dean of nus fass isn't it?
in a way we are never free... from the societal forces.
