Meet the Cast of Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name

{...} (or 'Dot' for short) is the narrator of the series and by the time the series started Dot's been dead for about 10 years. He had grown bored of contemplating his death and life, seeing that he really doesn't remember much about his life, or even his death. So somehow he wound up on the doorstep of Hanna Falk Cross, a derpy wannabe paranormal investigator.

How Dot came across Hanna's business card is a mystery, but he wound up knocking on Hanna's shitty apartment door with a blue scarf wrapped around his neck and face (trying to be subtle since people are like HOLY CRAP HE'S DEAD/GREEN/ROTTING). Eventually he asked if Hanna was hiring and he immediately got the job as Hanna's partner. Their first case together was a one Conrad Achenleck, a wimpy artfag/graphic designer with anger management issues that was beaten up and kicked out of his own apartment by some sassy bitch of a vampire named Adelaide. She got away, ripped Dot's arm off, and insulted Hanna's personal hygiene. Anyway, the case was a disaster and the end result was Conrad's vampirification.

Dot and Hanna's second case involved a theater that was haunted by a poltergeist. Per as usual, the case was a disaster as Hanna was seriously injured after rushing right in. When the team (along with Toni and Conrad) tried a second time, Dot got himself possessed by the ghost. Luckily, Hanna rushed right in (again) to save his friend using a guide (a paper crane) to help Dot communicate with the ghost and eventually return back to reality. Hanna was able to save his undead friend, but not without Dot having to contemplate on what he saw while being possessed. But then again, nothing really rang a bell in his rotting memory...

[ Personality ] :
As stated before, Dot is the narrator of HiNaBN and has been dead for the past 10 years. He's grown bored of contemplating life and his current state as a zombie. Because he no longer remembers much of anything of his former life, he no longer dwells on it. He would rather spend his time creating new memories instead of spending the majority of his time on things that are done and gone.

Despite Hanna's constant rate of failures, Dot is quite content with being Hanna's partner and tries his best to aid Hanna in whatever way he can.

Though Dot is frequently refereed to as a zombie, he lacks any real passion to feast upon brains. The majority of his emotions can range from indifferent to mildly concerned, but he does have a good range of feelings for his friends.

There's really not much to Dot. He falls apart, stitches himself back together, is dry of any blood, and has a small aversion to anything that is very wet.

He's been told that his shocks of white hair resemble angel wings, but he mention that to him and he will assure you that he is anything but an angel.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Dot himself is very intelligent and wise in an indifferent zombie kind of way. At the same time, he's also rather physically strong, as seen when he punches Veser in the stomach and defended Hanna from the Adelaide's attacks. Because he's a zombie and has no blood, he can stitch himself back together, as seen when Adelaide ripped his arm off. Other than that, the true extend of his strength and 'powers' is unknown.

[ Sample ] :
"I'm pretty sure the dead don't need checkups," Dot's said to his short companion in his usual deadpan voice. Hanna was making him go see Dr. Worth after that nasty possession episode. To be honest, Dot really didn't care if he saw Worth, but what was the point? He was dead. The last time he saw Worth, the homicidal drug-addict of a doctor stitched his arm back together when that crazy vampire lady, Adelaide, tore it off. To Dot, Worth was the kind of man who saw the Hippocratic Oath as a Hippocratic Suggestion. "I feel fine."

"Pffft. Don't argue. You'd make me go," Hanna snorted back at his tall zombified partner.

True, Dot would have made Hanna go see Worth, but that was because Hanna was the one who usually wound up banged up or winded after dealing with a poltergeist or something...
