Thank you! I have no idea where the scary lightning monsters came from. Also unf I wanted to write Dean and Cas giving into the UST while trapped in purgatory and yet thinking no wait is this a good idea, yes it is, no wait, but it had to happen! \o/ /o\ I lack an adequate emoticon for this ship!

Guh… gorgeous, bb. I love how the tension of the storm feeds into their own tension and its ultimate release. And I love the fact Dean holds Cas there for that kiss, and the fact they seem so at ease with each other afterwards...

Meanwhile they're in a situation where not lingering would be totally understandable and necessary so the fact that Dean chooses right then to demonstrate his deeper feelings is all the more significant. Also in my fanon, Dean was not nearly as non-demonstrative as Dean thinks he was during the time when they were involved--however, they both held it at arms' length, the world's ending so bang a few gongs, and avoided and avoided whatever else it might be. In purgatory it's harder to avoid. I really love using this as a backdrop for their issues, whether it's just looking at the friendship, or delving into the ship, either way, they can't hide from each other or themselves very easily.
