Duncan's birthday is coming up far, far too quickly for comfort. He's changed his mind suddenly and now he wants a party. Due to the fact that I now have less than a week to organise said event, we're compromising. We're going ice-skating next weekend with as many of the people he wants there as can make it. We'll see how it goes

Do I assume he's inviting me or wait for an engraved invitation (or equiv)? How much does ice-skating cost?

Hmm... guess that means I shouldn't see if I can pop in briefly on Thursday to give him his present (assuming you'll be too busy for a ten minute visit on Wednesday).
