Um, somehow I seem to be in the process of buying a car. Not quite sure how. With luck I'll figure out what I'm doing before I commit, and then only go through with it if I still want to once my brain is firing on all cylinders ( Read more... )

A friend of mine has a Daihatsu. They dont make those anymore, do they? Or is it just that they dont sell them in the states?

They may just not sell them in the states. Daihatsu is now 50% owned by Toyota (as I discovered when I expressed surprise that they were on a Toyota lot).

One gives crash test results and one helps you to calculate fuel economy for type of car.

I always drove manual and reluctantly bought an automatic 4 years ago. It was great. Now I'm back to a manual and I'm surprised to miss the automatic!
