I feel disgusting.

Yesterday I made Martha Stewart's Outrageous Chocolate CookiesThey are chock-full of dark chocolate (the recipe calls for semi-sweet but at the amount the recipe called for, dark chocolate was financially a wiser choice), and I already had four, and I only woke up two hours ago. (In between the first cookie and the three afterwards, I had a brunch ( Read more... )

Holy moley they look absurdly delicious! I've been dying to bake cookies lately, but I haven't because I just know I'll eat them all too quickly and it'll end up being a waste of money that I shouldn't have been spending in the first place. Anyway, enough about me.

Do you think maybe you really did need the eighteen days to recover from school, even though you regret it now? Or could there maybe be some other kind of sub-conscious reason you took a longer break than you meant to?

Yes, I am aware that I write slightly differing but essentially the same exact entry every long holiday from school that I get.Maybe you could try printing out these entries before the holidays start and sticking them on your wall, or in your closet, or somewhere you'd see them so that you can remind yourself how bad you've felt in the past when you haven't accomplished what you had planned to ( ... )

They were delicious, but if you make them, make sure not to use semi-sweet chocolate and not dark! Dark is TOO dark.

I like the idea of sticking the entries to places I'd see them often! I'll do that next holiday! I think by then I'll be looking for jobs and writing out applications and things though, so I won't have to worry about finding something productive to do over the break. Because if I don't I'll have nowhere to go after I graduate!

Is there a reason you can't work at you old high school next year instead?-- I'm trying to get a license for both high school and middle school teaching, and I guess because the middle school license is harder to get (requires more courses, more studying etc), I have to go to my middle school rather than my high school ( ... )
