The Subtle Knife is definitely my favorite in the series, and not just because I thought I was able to identify with Will better than Lyra. It's an amazing book. There was a gap of time between reading Compass and Knife, but at the end of Knife I went directly to a bookstore, and picked up The Amber Spyglass. Enjoy!
