Quick Update to What A Day

When last we left... um... me, I was having trouble with the plumbing and my printer had failed. The shower has more-or-less behaved itself since then and I found out what was wrong with the printer.

My problem as such is that I'm using Linux and HP is the only printer company that really supports it. That's not a big deal, since I have an HP

Just had a look at printers at the Air Miles site. *SIGH* Just too much too much as I've vowed to keep at least X at all times, just in case someone needs to travel somewhere fast. Man, that's one hell of a deal on that HP though.

It's okay, you don't have to. My printer works, I just need to find some cheap generic or refurb cartridges. I found one place already that has #15's for $6 and #17s for like $14, but they're online only and I've never done that before. For now I'm shopping around.

The new printer is now a long term plan. For that, I'm thinking in terms of a laser. They cost about the same as an inkjet these days. Toner cartridges are about the same cost as inkjet cartridges, but they last about ten times as long or more. The latest stable Kubuntu distro has a driver for a Samsung SCX-4623FW; it's $149.99 on sale.
