And you weren't "90 degrees the wrong way", you were a whopping 180 degrees the wrong way. I'm surprised you're not in jail. You could've scraped the paint off the back corner of someone's car if you rear-to-kerb parked sloppier than you did. Imagine if you accidentally nudged someone's mirror so that it showed a few more degrees of road the next time they wanted to drive. It might've torn a spider web!

Did you get in already? I really like the idea of it, but I wouldn't know what to write my thesis on.

I was sent an honours package before I had to submit an expression of interest. It gave me a heap of projects to choose from (because in our field we don't have enough research going on - which is morally jarring to me). Fortunately I discovered this two days before the deadline for the EOIs. Being overseas really endangers one's future. The projects haven't been officially assigned yet, I think we have to have a meeting later to duke it out.

Ah, I hope my faculty isn't expecting expressions of interest anytime soon. Though the letter didn't really say it was coming up, and I remember notices for it in the 2nd semester. Your faculty seems to be handling it completely differently...No info pack, I just got a letter saying 'your linguistics marks are good, how about honours?'. I wish I had a choice of projects...maybe I should email the guy. Good luck in the battle for projects. Remember that if you kill them there they're less likely to appeal.
