[Doctor Who - Day of the Moffat]Well, that was ... about as messy as expected? A few more fuck-yous to RTD than expected, but a few less to fans of Tennant so it basically evened out in the end. Wow, holy retcon Batman, though - way to basically take a piss at RTD and everything he ever wrote. Moffat is such a nasty little shit, I can't even with him anymore. Anyway, lets break

As for Elizabeth, Ten does mention something to Ood Sigma about her at the beginning of The End of Time I think,

Seriously though, no explanation for where we were in Ten's timeline?

He was on his own and he stated his age as 904, so I think it was fairly clear that he's from after WoM but before TEoT. This also lines up with Ten's references to Elizabeth I in TEoT as well. His romance with Elizabeth was canon before Moffat wrote it.

I don't feel that the story was a retcon, or if it was, I didn't mind it. I thought it opened new doors in terms of story-telling potential and it was a great way of finishing the Time War arc. I loved it.

Also I agree that Tennant was fab. :D

Yeah I agree with most of your points. There were a few teeny tiny good things mixed in with the mix of how crappy a showrunner Moffat is.
