haha, you sound exactly like I did even three months ago re. Harry Potter. but they really are brilliantly written, and funny to boot.

to answer your question, no, we do not have minstrels. what are they? I'm surprised I don't know, because last summer in London I ate SO MUCH CHOCOLATE. I thought I'd pretty much hit everything you Brits have and we don't. ;)

yo, season 1 seriously sucks, like a lot. i mean, there's some okay stuff but just wait til you get to season 4 or 5. and then there's DEEP SPACE NINE!!!! the best hour-long sci-fi television show EEEEEEEEEVER!!!!!

and ya, Greg has said season 1 is by far the worst season. some of the episodes have been great but overall it's definitely shaky. I can't wait to get further in!!
