we used to talk about compartment syndrome! :) how have your legs been lately? just wondering because mine have been not so good, but i'd like to hear from someone who has been successful in taking care of it :)
Sorry, no good news on the compartment syndrome front :( The only reason I can tolerate my legs is because I don't really run much. 2 1/2 years ago I was in Kung Fu and running only about 15 miles/week and got 4 stress fractures. I wanted to get the pressure tests done so that I could all my compartments released (way back when I got it done they only did the anterior compartment) but my Dr. flipped her shit and canceled the pressure test because she would not allow me to run for the test, which was dumb because I had been running on them for months anyway. By the time she let me go back to the Dr. who did the test he said it was pointless because my legs had been rested for 8 weeks. By that point I had started my nursing career and couldn't afford to get my legs to the point where I would need surgery again. I am on my legs A LOT at work and I have a lot of pain and tightness...but nothing like I am when I am at worst. I run a little bit now but like I said, I need my legs for work so I don't push it.
