The joys of a wide-angle lens

The best thing about wide-angle camera lenses is the sense of extreme perspective they let you bring, creating really neat effects otherwise impossible to achieve. For example, take this nutcracker:



At 24mm focal length, he's a perfectly respectable fellow, with a nice scottish theme.


However, at 10mm, he's turned into a bellowing drunken scotsman, ready to punch you in the face!


Similarly, enjoy this cow skull:


How quaint! It gives the room a bit of the savor of the wild west.


But look closer... and he turns into a wild devil cow, chasing you through your scariest nightmares!
