809 area code (due to international pressure) is no loger working like that. That's an old message, still floating around after all this time.

I like the fact that someone took the hyphen out of the dollar amount changing $24-25 to $2425

In minutes you'd lose your house.

Heh...

It's like that old email tracking one.
Where the more people you forwarded the email to, the bigger the check you'd get.
I remember when it was Microsoft ONLY that supposed to cut you check, and then it was a collaberation between MS and AOL. And then I even saw one that had added on Time-Warner!

:)

I think this is along the lines of people that open .exe attachments in emails from people they don't know. Punishment for being stupid. ;)

This is a hoax. These numbers are legitimate. I work in a call center and we get bulletin's on these kinds of things. I looked this one up and it is a hoax.

There are a number of internet scam webpages that fight to debunk this kind of credulity. You can can find them using google.
