It's a new paradigm this Christmas. For starters, due to some scheduling conflicts on Christmas Day, our inter-family gift exchange will be held tonight, on Christmas Eve. My family has always opened presents on Christmas eve -- we have a buffet dinner, hot buttered rum, and then open presents, in a rip-and-slash, giggle-and-squeal orgy. We always have the best intentions of taking turns, but it rarely turns out like that. Of course, our family has always been a bit off-kilter about that whole "traditions" game. We watch Requiem for a Dream afterwards, too. Heh.

Tonight, however, I am going to play Xbox, make poached eggs, and watch a movie.
