Today the FDA approved meat and milk from cloned animals as safe to eat. "People" are of course up in arms, because apparently they think cloned is catching. And also, they apparently think that clones are mutant freaks from bad '70s sci-fi movies ( Read more... )

That is good to know of the FDA approval of meat and milk from cloned animals. I am not the science guru in any way, but it would just kind of be common sense that the cloned animal is basically going to be almost exactly like the original. That is just good news for us.

Not being the squeamish type, I read what you do and it actually sounds very interesting. Also sounds like you are the perfect scientist=)

Yeah, I'm not exactly sure what people think we do to clone things, but...uh, it's pretty much just replacing the DNA of an egg cell with the DNA of a cell from the animal you're cloning. I mean, this is done at the pre-embryonic level, it's not affecting your damn pasteurized grocery store milk.

I certainly think it's interesting! If bloody.
