Warren and I have tickets to see a double bill of Dido and Aeneas and Acteon in Toronto this weekend. The tickets were my Christmas gift. I’m so excited. I’ve only see one other opera but that was years ago in Los Angeles, and it was a dress rehearsal for Aida. ha when i read the first lines of this, i was like, whoa, lili doesnt seem the type to love Dido (the singer)? I'm so ignorant when it comes to opera and other high brow fine arts.

all white will be exquisite. do you want to borrow some elbow gloves? i have some from when my grandmother used to go to the opera. they even have rhinestones, and they might actually fit you (my forearms are of peasant stock).
please please tell me more about this rhubarb perfume which i also may never purchase but ever so want to smell. do you think it's rhubarb dipped in sugar, or just plain rhubarb?

if we can meet up before saturday morning, i would love to borrow your grandma's opera gloves. i have a pair myself but they are sans rhinestones.

i'm hoping sephora will have the hermes rhubarb perfume but it must have been a very very limited edition item because i can't even find it on the hermes website right now. if i can source it, i will definitely report back! i think it's probably more on the pure, fresh rhubarb tip. i'm afraid rhubarb dipped in sugar might be a little cloying : (

it's so ingenious to have a rhubarb perfume!
