Aeryn had been laying low for the last day, because whether someone here knew her or not, she'd rather be safe. So she'd hidden her Prowler for now and kept to the warehouse district, and once she accepted that at least for the time being, she was stuck here, she was intent on exploring at least a new area.

And if that meant eyeing Bond cautiously as she approached, well.

Bond could appreciate caution, being self-aware enough to admit most of his nearer death experiences were the result of choosing to do the incautious thing.

"Good morning," he said with a grin, shifting subtly so she could see his hands were empty.

"Probably," Bond agreed. "But as we've just come out of winter I thought I'd take a moment to appreciate the lack of snow or rain."

Without standing he held out the bag of pastries to her. "Care for a Danish? There's too many to eat in one sitting and they're best when they're fresh."
