I sat around and waited to get into the World Cosplay Summit competition, expecting to see some spectacular costumes. What did I see? 15 minutes, 7 entrants, 2 decent costumes, all of which was filmed to be shown on TV in Japan. One of these "well-qualified entrants with an extensive cosplay resume" is apparently winning a 2 week trip to Japan to

Actually those contests are sometimes pre-fabricated, and the winners are already known before the contest even starts because someone knows someone.

West Coast Cosplay is an evil, manipulative poitical regime that would make most Banana Republics shudder in fear and disgust.
