[So, 24 hours of straight caroling in a skimpy Santa dress was not good for a humanized Rin's health. No, not good at all. Though she managed to drag herself home, she now has laryngitis and a terrible cold. The sensible thing for her to do would be to get some rest, but she feels pretty bad about how dismal the failure at the dairy was, so she's ( Read more... )

[Bazett's constitution is a little bit better than Rin's. Therefore, all she has to show for 24 hours of consecutive singing and a subsequent all-nighter are slight eye bags and increased irritability.]

...I'm glad that I'm not the only one who realized that. Get some rest and a hot drink and I'll discuss this with you later.

[Impressive. ...But Rin still feels a bit guilty about getting her in trouble. She coughs again and nods, but obviously she can't see that so she says again]

O-ok, th'nks B'zett... [sniff.]

Don't feel too guilty about everything. You did very well for a girl of your age.

[It was impressive that she could organize a semi-coherent plan of attack for the many people who had gathered there.]

We were all just mistaken about the method of attack, that's all.

There is no use regretting things that have already happened, and in your state, there is probably no chance for us to conduct a second raid. Perhaps you can plan something out once you recover.

Your cold sounds nasty. For now, just drink some chicken soup.

[She would suggest hot toddy if it were an adult, but Rin Kagamine is just a child.]

Well, it is the traditional cure if you do not feel like taking copious amounts of medication. Just drink enough hot soup to work up a sweat and you should feel much better.

Uck. Gr'ss.... Why's b'in sick have t' be so d'sgustin'??

[then again, sweating was not nearly as nasty as this if she recalls. But it's her first time having a cold so she's feeling whiny.]

Please do not tell me that you expect the process of having your body invaded by foreign parasitic microorganisms to be pleasant.

[She is caught being amused and annoyed.]

Anyway, get plenty of rest and fluids, preferrably warm ones. If you're lucky, this will be over within a day or so.

...Under normal circumstances, your body eventually destroys them. Don't worry.

[The child on the other end of the line sounds like she had never been sick before.]
