I don't believe in "short" text-messages. Use all 160 characters at your disposal - don't abbreviate a thing! The phone company is bilking you, so bilk them right back (do the math: compare price-per-byte of a text-message vs. price-per-byte of a data plan or a voice plan). After all, you're not paying by the keystroke, you're paying per text-

Even with a "full" keyboard, I type too slow for it to be worth it. My strongest phone-company bilk-back is to just stay on the cheapest possible plan for as long as possible. (That is, I move up to the new cheapest plan whenever they decide to stop grandfathering in old plans, and never sooner.)

I'm well aware that I'm using the same reasoning as a guy who mails back sealed empty pre-paid postage envelopes to from the unsolicited offers of credit-cards, as a way to stick it to them. Yeah, it's just a blip, if even that...
