Personally, I don't find reading marquees comfortable. Maybe this would change if all our reading material was presented this way; or perhaps a couple generations down the line, people would become used to reading this way.

But I really like the approach of your thought process. It often takes a lot of "weird" ideas, most of which will be bad, to come up with something great. Having the mindset of challenging the status quo is almost certainly the most effective way to be innovative.
