I DO I DO I DO. not because he gve me a bad grade- on the contrary, I pulled that 55 up to a 62 for the final presentation grade- but because he's an ASS!

holly's cover sheet reads thus-

"Quite a lot here HOlly, though I don't think it is particularly well understood and it is certainly very poorly communicated...bibliographical conventions are ( Read more... )

it's entirely unprofessional- holly isn't upset about it in a personal sense, more a "I can't believe he would write such a thing for no good cause" sense

awful man

thankfully alasdair (other lecturer) has made it clear that "his crazy hair and mad eyes really bug me", so we have a knight in shining armor for us...

i think higher education instuctors in the uk have an obession with suspecting their students as being dyslexic. garry's instructor asked him the same thing. i think this is very disappointing because it indicates a laziness on the part of said instructors and their complete lack of concern for what might REALLY be the problem. cos really sarah... don't you think that if u or i were dyslexic we would have told the instructor on day one so that they would be expecting that!?!??!?! i wouldn't wait until i had to write a massive paper for the professor to get a clue. complete poppycock. he sounds like a complete lame O, but at least he didn't irritatingly blurt it out in the classroom leaving a very confused mr. huggins to come home to tell an infuriated joharé.

haha, it might be an obsession- I think he's just lazy though, honestly. and tactless. he meant well by it I'm sure, but it came out all wrong. and BOOOOOOO for garry's professor- that's AWFUL to do it in the middle of class! at least hicksie isn't as bad...

As a life long Dyslexic, and proud that I don't see the world you do, take my word for it, Dyslexics can often get the grammer correct, rarely reverse letters while writing (unless the the reverse is also a word.

fair enough- my only experience with it has been my boyfriend's niece who is pretty much what I guess would be a textbook case- getting word order in sentences a bit muddled and not recognizing or confusing specific letters.

her essay was more just careless and not proofread- so it seemed like a very off-the-mark comment to make. not a derogatory thing, just wildly inaccurate. sorry if I caused offence! :-)
