I have one extraordinary friend who I've witnessed time and again attempt to align her actions with her strict moral codes. I've never witnessed anyone live with so perfectly, or try so hard to live with, the moral codes they set up for themselves. (Note: A second friend is similar to this in one of her characteristic moral stylings, but at the ( Read more... )

I -sincerely- hope this post isn't about me. :P I wouldn't know how to respond to "don't abuse animals," "don't cheat on people/be honest if it happens," and "don't infringe upon my rights as a human!" being described as ridiculous, monkey. Meanwhile, if it WAS about me, I feel we should talk soon. I went through tonight and deleted 86 journal entries, eliminating rants I no longer stood behind and mopes I no longer believed in. I'm still a child in so many ways, and yet have grown up beyond imagining in the past three, four years. This is not meant to mean you, but -most- people in my life never really 'give me the chance' to grow up, to change, because they assume what I said at 17, 18, 19 still holds true today. I mean, back then I hated women. Today I am a feminist. That pretty much says it all!

If it wasn't about me, I'm a conceited douchebag, and apologize!

As far as I'm concerned, it's real. It's part of my loyalty, though that probably doesn't fall into any definition of loyalty that most people conceive of.

*whether my description of the person is all truth, or perceived truth (a personal design of the person).*

In some ways, nobody is who they are, as there are a million levels to everyone.

I really don't want to 'let's just say' about this, hon. It's something important to me, people misunderstanding my viewpoints and making any sort of judgment call based on that misunderstanding. I don't think I'd be able to accept you telling me, "Yeah, I may have you all wrong, but I'm okay with that, because I like you anyway."
