I remember a case about 20 years ago where a supermarket fired or otherwise was in conflict with a (potential?) employee who didn't want to shave because he had a skin condition related to ingrown beard hairs that was associated with being Black. There was a racial bias claim and the supermarket prevailed, if I remember right.

Honestly religion shouldn't have to play a role, but I'm glad to hear now it's illegal to discriminate based on facial hair. It should also be illegal to discriminate against males with long hair.

Aw, dammit, I just shaved for my interview too! But this is good to know. Hopefully it extends to all people...
