[Action]

Hiyori is in the Hall of Missing, walking around with something in her hand, before specifically stopping in front of two people's portraits. "Mister Lee, you too? At least you and Tony left together. I hope both of you remember the City and are happy together back in your home world, then." She pauses for a little while longer, and then ( Read more... )

[The portraits look as they did the day before: faces without names, echoes of a past that he's never known and never will. Roxas lets them run through his field of vision without particular attention until they jump out at him.

Sasha. Nill.

No matter the faces, Roxas keeps walking, striding through the corridor without pause. He turns the corner, and there they are - more familiar ones, known to him by numbers rather than names.

This should hurt, shouldn't it..? But it doesn't. And if he could be, if he thought if it at all, he might be glad of that.

Nothing to be said. He turns on them, and he goes on.]

Roxas shrugged, an easy refusal. "I'll look it up when I get to the library." That part had been easy to adjust to in the City; there weren't a lot of constants to get information from in the Organization, but books had been one of them.

More faces winding past in droves - now people that Sora knew, must have known, because he remembered them without knowing them. He passed them with his head angled slightly away. They weren't his memories; they didn't mean much.

"Gonna visit anyone else?" The word perched strangely on his tongue. They were gone. Even the metaphor didn't seem to fit, but he said it anyway.

It didn't really bother her that he didn't want to see her work, she just found it kind of strange. After all, a person can answer questions directly. But whatever he was comfortable with. "Ah, alright, then."

Like Roxas, Hiyori knew some of the faces and names, without ever having met them, but unlike him, she felt weird about passing their portraits by. It was kind of creepy. It wasn't exactly that she was scared of the place, it was just weird, and too much like a graveyard. Especially with how some people treated it; not that she was an exception.

Wait, did he just say visit anyone? That was . . . pretty sweet of him. She knew he didn't really think of it that way, but saying that for her sake was nice. "No, I was just there for Himeko-chan and Chikane."

But he wasn't paying attention to that. "They left this month," Roxas said, but it was less a question than an evaluation. "I wonder if..."

It was almost funny how people started leaving as soon as the curses lightened - or it would be, he supposed. It was like one was meant to compensate for the other. As if the deities had planned it that way - and he wasn't really putting it past them.

Then the other meaning of her answer caught up with him, and he blinked at her without a beat, neither friendly nor hostile. "So why aren't you leaving?"

They? Surely he didn't mean her friends. Maybe the Organization? She knew Axel was here before. Did she miss someone else coming to the City? She really needed to pay closer attention to the network. "Mm?"

Wondered what? If they would be back? And- now all of a sudden the atmosphere completely changed. "Oh. Well, we were walking together."

Roxas shook his head. Thinking about patterns wasn't his kind of thing - VI had been the one to look for shapes and schemes in events. While Roxas - well, Roxas fought. That was what he did. He didn't need his life to get any more complicated than it was already.

"I'm gonna go look at the others," he said, putting an end to the first possible line of questions. And - he couldn't help himself, really - he glanced back, locating the Organization's portraits scattered among the rest before he looked back to Hiyori. "You can leave."

Okay, so she didn't really fully expect him to elaborate. "Ah, alright, then. If you ever want to look at some of my manga, the offer is still open." She watched his eye movements. She was right, then. Axel and at least one other member.
