I would do my best not to cry, but I would try and tell him that I care for him a lot, and I hope he will be happy and successful in all that he does. I will wish him true love, a happy and healthy family, and a happy and healthy life. And I will tell him to take good care of himself and the rest of the band, and that I will always support and pray for him and the others.

...if I could actually get any words out. LOL.
