OK, version 0100 was released, and the game loaded rooms from the server, so there should be at least a dynamic component to the map.

Version 0190. I think I saw other people when playing the game. However, after they appeared they wouldn't move. I'm behind a router, though, so that may be a problem on my end.

Woohoo, I made it to the goal!

As far as I can tell it's impossible to get to the goal if you have the sword, because you get swarmed by ghosts in the invisible maze. My trick was to camp out by the entry to the goal until somebody else came along with a sword, then I followed along as she killed the enemies for me. Then as she got swarmed by ghosts, I happily moved on to the goal. It was a noble sacrifice on her part. :')
