It's nice to meet you...even if it's just over the phone.
Anyway, there's one thing that's been bugging me since I woke up...how do I already have a job when I'm sure I've never seen this place before in my life?
Mayfield likes to make it seem like you've lived here forever, so it gives you a fake family and a fake job, or school if you're young enough. It takes away all your stuff from home, too.
I see...I guess that makes sense of the pictures, not waking up in the same clothes, and why that man on the other end of the phone was so inclined to call me Mrs. Vette.
Cuba? Yeah...I'm still trying to figure out how though. At first I thought it was a prank or something. but it's starting to look and feel like something completely different.
[There's a flat sound of affirmation on her end of the line] Oh, I am more than aware believe you me. [snorting, she recalled every bad party she's been unlucky enough to be obligated into. She would gladly pay a hefty fee to get a ticket back to any of those instead of here]
There's a startling amount of us here. I spoke to your brother briefly, Estonia, and Hong Kong off the top of my head. There are more though. [Here she pauses, sounding a bit strained] We are human now, I was told.
You can now add Spain and Cuba to the list...seeing as how I just talked to them.
I see...[She sighs] In that case I wonder if we can ever go back to our old lives if we can ever get back home or if we're gonna be humans forever now.
Ah, thanks. The first name really isn't what I'm worried about after all I have used it before. But it's the fact I'm married that has me a little unnerved.
Really? Thanks again I'm very great-- Wait, "Bonaparte?"

Nope this place isn't a joke. If it was, we'd be able to get home by now.

If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been here?

I was hoping more of us would avoid getting stuck here.

So you're trying to say there's more of us here?
