After signing the lease on our new apartment, the boys and I spent a few nights just camping out. My parents came up and helped move some things that would make us feel less like we were camping -- kitchen stuff, beds, etc. Then, the following weekend some friends helped move the rest ( Read more... )

The comforter actually came for free with the bed. Can you believe it? I found the bed on super-sale on Craigslist, and the day I went to pick it up the lady threw in her old bedding for free.

I know that feeling. When my mom was in town I had sweetened coffee with her EVERY morning. One week of that and I had started to feel dependent on it. I *think* I'm getting myself back to normal, but it's hard to tell what normal is when you're six months pregnant!

Ah. This must be because we're not Facebook friends yet. I announced it on there, but not really on LJ. I've not been updating LJ as much because I was just going through too many emotionally exhausting/heavy things. I was using up all my communication energy just keeping my friends and family current, and didn't feel like I had the umph to write on here too. But I could put out little Facebook status blurbs, as they require a lot less energy and thought.

If you have a FB account, you can find me as Kristen Michaelis in Austin. Just be sure to let me know who you are in your friend request, otherwise I'll likely ignore it. I mostly keep FB locked down and not open to "the public," so I end up ignoring most of my friends requests since they're from strangers who know that I'm also the Food Renegade.

I'm so glad to see your update. Your apartment is lovely and warm. I think I will have to break down and become a facebook user to keep better in touch with you. I love you and the boys. Jill
