Ohno's little double tooth seems to have gone missing.
What is this complicated feeling?
Is it like the feeling a parent has when they see their child's baby teeth fall out, and think, "wow, he's growing up"?
Is it like the feeling fans had when Sammy Hagar replaced David Lee Roth as lead singer for Van Halen?
Is it like the feeling drivers-through get when they look up at the McD menu and see no McRib sandwich?
I wonder why I wonder so much about such a tiny little change?
Nope, I'm not sad, because there are so many things to love about this guy:
• his not typically Japanese perspective on life and work
• his giddy enjoyment of creativity
• his secret dimples
-never mind a dumb tooth-and things are always changing, anyway.
But, since I'm human, and foolishly a little bit afraid of change, I miss the tooth. :-B
