The best thing to do is layer..so you can take a layer off when you go inside where the heat is on. While I was in DC, I would wear a long sleeve shirt, a fleece zip-up, and then a blazer over that. It kept me pretty warm. The worst part was the wind on your neck, nose, and hands. Now is a good time to get a scarf and glove set on clearance though. I'd definitely invest in that.

thanks for the advice since ive never left home i dont know what to expect but ill go this week and get a scarf i have benies and gloves and will use them hahaha
