Machine gun: to protect a person from a machine gun's power the soldiers dug trenches.
Tanks: In 1916, it was introduced by the British. A tank was an armored vehicle on which guns were mounted. Tanks would enable troops to tear through barned wire axross enemy lines.
Airplane: used for observing troop movements. They engaged in air fights called "dog fights" and dropped bombs.
U-Boats: Germans invented these, they were also called submarines.
Poison Gas: invented by the Germans. It would burn the faces and eyes so bad that some men went blind and had scars all over their faces. I dont have artillery because I really didn't know what it was and it wasnt in the book
