If something happens when people go nuts around here, like [like she's trying the word out] a flood, does it get held against you? I've been hearing people talking about their "twins" and like they turn into someone else, but I've never gotten hit like that, so I don't know ( Read more... )

Wouldn't know, it's never happened to me personally. But I'd say they're still them either way.

[ffff he should probably not be showing his face anywhere right now but he doesn't know why. so. HAVE A RICHIE.]

[well this entire post is his fault even though she's not saying that. how dumb are you, Richie, she heard you hitting on that girl. but she's not going to call you out on it, you like to kill people for fun and she kind of likes you.]

Why? [It's not a challenge. She wants to draw him out.]

[tact is something he fails miserably at; it shouldn't have come as any surprise. he's also terrible at learning lessons.

either way, the question gets a puzzled look.]

...'Cause they are. I'm not the same as I was in grade school, but I'm still me; how are they any different? They're still them, they're just different too.

That generally depends on what you do, to who, and how much of you is in it.

You've been through a lot here. [surprisingly for her, there's not any questions implied.]

Nah, it doesn't get held against you. I mean, you're still you, yeah? But you're not you as you are, so it doesn't count.

Sounds like enough can change you don't even know who you are.

No. I don't think you have conscious control of your actions during any flood. It shouldn't be held against you.

[Oh there you are; she thought you were a Barge ghost or something. Her eyes smile back like "hi it's been a while".] It's like someone else taking control, right?

[He may as well be the official Barge ghost. That's a very good position for him, the way he slips in and out of brief periods of socialization.]

Yes. Have you had to experience that yet?

[she doesn't know you but it's still good to know she wasn't going crazy, and you were nice when she met you. She shakes her head, a little relief present in her face.] Wanted to know what it might be like.

[She's not taking it any further, it's definitely something he doesn't want to talk about.]
