I quite enjoyed my short stay in Tucson. Oh yeah, and the roads! Just watch out for them brown shirts! They love their radar guns.

My thought is that it is less where you live, but the life you make there. I know that sounds terribly trite. As for myself I always want to live in a large city, for the sake of a kind of social "critical mass",a place large enough to support active local occult groups, live theater, other specialized entities.

Think of it as an adventure! Adjusting to a new place like Tucson will teach you things about yourself and put LA into a different perspective. I've packed up and left LA - twice, and never regretted it (despite dragging my ass back)!

I've done it before too, but never with the intention of leaving permanently. You know, though, all former wanderlust aside, I've always rubberbanded back to L.A. with a new perspective as well. This time I'm decidedly headed Northwest, though. Tucson is a detour.
