Dear Gods....The best divorce song Ever! If I were a lesbian, I'd have to get a restraining order against myself on Sinead's behalf. Ever notice that she's a very rare artist, in that her voice is actually more powerful, confident, inspired and compelling live than when "perfected" by digital mastering? Stunning song and body of work in general. -

That song is so damn sad for me.

In 1994, I was in love with valthor115. We met in California and spent 3 ecstatic weeks together. And the night came when it was time to say goodbye, and we were devastated.

Two months later, I was on a plane to New Zealand. Three months later, he was taking me to the airport for our last goodbye. And somehow, in my last months in New Zealand, this song was relentlessly and heartbreakingly around.

I've never seen him again. 15 years later, sometimes it feels like my heart is still broken. (tearing up even typing this.) He's my soul. But we're not intended for this lifetime. All I can do is hope to catch him in the next life.
