When I was nine months old, my grandpa sent me a letter for Saint Patrick's day. He was the first to advise me to die in bed at the age of 100, of a shotgun blast from a jealous husband.
Dying at age 84 in a plane crash after a lifetime of testing aircraft is a pretty good one too.

Although a fiery plane crash is probably a pretty scary way to die, I think it's cool that he was still so active at age 84. I think about my grandpa and wish that he could've been in better shape during his last years. My grandma just turned 92 yesterday, and although she's in better shape in some ways than other 92 year olds, she's still feels bad a lot of the time because of arthritis, and she doesn't really leave her apartment, even though she has a motorized wheelchair and lives in a retirement community where they always have activities and social events.
So Mr. Crossfield was a very lucky guy to still be so active, and like kdmitche said, still doing what he loved.
