Trigger, not-so-happy

Kennedy agreed to taking over training sessions while Buffy was gone. I was surprised to realize how relieved I was about that. I loved her but this whole thing with Spike was starting to give me a headache. At least now she would have something to take her mind off him for a while. When she left to inform the rest of the girls what was going on I ( Read more... )

"I don't even know where to start."

I had to say, that was Damn un-Willow like. She had been off of her game ever since she had come back from the retreat with the Coven in Devonshire, or wherever it was.

I was on board with her trying to contain the magic's that had turned her into fillet-o-Warren girl and try to end the world girl. I got that, but it wasn't like her to have a problem when sitting in front of a computer.

I wanted to say type trigger into Google, but the, we'd probably get a million sites or links dealing with the make-up of a machine gun, or regular gun, first and she probably already knew that. The gun speak made me think about how I had said that it was some kind of trigger before when we first figured out what it was.

Oh. Oh. I was having a thought, now. No. The military had nothing to do with this. Cancel that thought ( ... )

"Ouch, research is good, researching sixty-thousand sites will get us nowhere and get Buffy and Dawn potentially dead."

"I quite agree, Willow. I believe that truly, we need to search out triggers in pertaining to mind-alteration. Is there a way using that dread machine that we can narrow down the search?"

I felt nearly impotent having exhausted my books to some degree and finding nothing. There had to be some resources on evil mind control specific to what was occurring inside of Spike's head, but all of the Council's books were lost.

"I'm thinking that we have to get them out of Los Angeles. I know it's bad down there, but it will be worse if Spike and Buffy end up tag-teaming Buffy and Dawn."It was a rather obvious sentiment, but I found things to be quite scary, quite splicing when Xander and I agreed on two consecutive topics. I needed to refocus ( ... )

"We have several options here, obviously, one being the...the government, certainlly, but would their chip self-destruct and cause Spike to go insane? That would seem to defeat the purpose of their entire mission in controlling demons. Granted, not knowing much about technology, I could be more then just slightly off."

It's further then anywhere that I had gotten and now that he said it, it seemed to me like he did have a chip and a trigger.

"Spike doesn't have much in the way of brains in his head, so who knows? He could have a trigger, a chip, an omelet and air up there."

This wasn't a time for laughing, but hey, a shot at picking on Spike wasn't going to be passed up by this guy. Besides, Buffy would put the smackdown on Spike in a minute if he changed.

"What about brain washing?"

I didn't know. Brainwashing by the First? "Wouldn't Spike kinda always be evil if it was brainwashing without some kind of trigger?"

"Mind control through hypnotism. It says here; Hypnotic techniques can also be used to plant "post-hypnotic" ( ... )
