There's nothing like the blood of your loins to guide you.

The fight with Buffy and Spike had not gone the way that I had planned. I had wanted to kill Spike because he was a pain in the ass. Even if I could get him to see my way of thinking, he was too crazy at this point to be any use to me, even though he had roamed with me in the past. Besides, he was a pain in the ass and I didn't like him and had ( Read more... )

This whirligig of emotions was getting old fast. They had all lost someone, or someones, and the whole mourning process was kickin' in, I get that, but we had bigger fish to fry and now wasn't exactly the time to be draggin' our heals around in our own emotional waste. Angelus needed to be put down like the dog he was and I had no doubt his kid could help do that if he'd just pull his head out of Cordy's ass and focus for a hot minute.

Wes seemed to have it together, for the most part. He was definitely missin' a cell or two in the over sized brain of his but at least he was down with what needed to be done. And, as for Cor, what better way to get rid of those unsightly stretch marks then a good old fashion fight to the death with her recently desouled employer.

There was a crash and suddenly that whole fight to the death thing became something of the real.

"A bonus. I get slayer blood tonight. I almost did earlier, but now, I don't think that I'll fail.""Wanna test that theory?" I asked but was ignored as Wes pulled out his gun ( ... )

I was prepared to shoot Angel. I didn't want to kill him, but mere bullets wouldn't kill him anyway, and the easiest and safest way to do so was to shoot him, disable him, tie him up and then focus on the beast and getting his soul back in him.

However, he was able to get the weapon out of my hands, toss it out of the window and smash me with a backhand for good measure, although his shot didn't hurt nearly as much as the wall crashing into my face did.

"Wanna test that theory?"

I hadn't envisioned it happening this way. Angelus was savage, more so then I had expected him to be. He handled Connor and sent him flying out of the window.

I rushed to see how Connor was doing, hoping that he could recover the weapon for me.

"Lets do this."Connor wasn't moving. I hastened to mention it, or show the expression on my face, but from here, it appeared that Angelus had killed his son ( ... )

"Connor!"

Everything happened so fast. First Angelus coming through the window, then Wesley being thrown into the wall and then Connor attacking his father...

I tried to move toward the window but I felt frozen in place. I was still really weak and there was no way I was going to be able to fight Angelus, not like this. The only thing I could do was watch, which at this point was probably worse then being knocked around by a crazy psycho vamp.

While Faith and Angelus seemed to be having some sort of stand off, Wes went to the window to check on Connor. His face was turned away from em and I couldn't tell for sure but I had a bad feeling in my stomach. My God, could Connor really be dead? It wasn't possible, it just couldn't be. Connor was strong, like his father, he could take...he had to.

"Does killing Lorne and seeing Gunn and Fred dead get you off, Angelus? Is this your idea of fun? Or is that not enough? How about the fact that you've just killed your son. Would that reach your standards of savagery?"He was lieing, he had to ( ... )

I heard Angel's voice below as I made my way back up the stairs, rope in one hand and second revolver in the other. I had a veritable armory in my car, but I figured bullets were the safest bet with Angelus, because they wouldn't kill him. Still, I brought the revolver on a whim. I truly didn't expect him to be awake after the blow to the head with the club that I had given him.

"Yeah Connor, you don't want to kill me, not that you could...because if you did, you would be killing off Angel and nobody wants that."

But, he indeed was awake again, and seemingly had gained some control, which only proved how motivated that he was. His pummeling should have kept him down for several more minutes.

"So what's the plan big guy? You gonna throw us both out that window there and drag me kickin' and screamin' back to your little vamp love nest?"

Taunting Angelus might not have been the best course of action. Step by step, slowly, as soundless as possible, I closed in, step by step, slowly, hoping that I had time.

"So what's the plan big guy ( ... )

So much for that glowy thing working a second time. I'd seen him focused on killing Angel before and now was no different. No doubt he saw Faith as a sexy damsel in distress too and just had to save her from big bad daddy. He really needed to find a girl his own age.

Faith taunted Angelus, which was never good but then again Faith's not exactly the brightest slayer in the box. Even when she threw him over her shoulder things still looked bad. He had some how gotten a hold of her shirt and taken her with him. He was going to bite her and the only one in any position to do anything about it, was Connor.

This is gonna be bad.

I was so focused on Angel and Faith that I never ever heard Wesley come back from getting the rope. He shot off two rounds. One hit Angel in the shoulder and the other in the leg. Faith didn't hesitate -I could have done that- and elbowed Angel in the nose.
