our base was doing a 'trunk or treat' event, which i had never heard of before. sounded like a pedo convention to me. plus, the apparent inspiration for such events was due to kids complaining about walking? really? i remember walking until my legs fell off on halloween.
Here I go sounding like I'm eighty, but seriously kids nowadays want everything handed to them. Every child that walked up to our door literally stood there, sac open - mouth closed! That's not how you trick or treat. Your suppost to yell ''trick or treat'' at the top of your lungs, explain what your costume is, say thank you, then leave. It's sadding that people have lost trust in there neighbors and are starting the trend of treating at malls and churches.
