Today I finally finished hours of preparations for an elementary school visit, with about thirty mins until I had to leave to go there from the junior high where I work. I went to make some final photocopies and said to another teacher, "Ah, finally, I've finished

I barely ever go, and when I do it's not to lessons but to this special International Exchange Club which it is upon me to run. I think my predecessor just played fruit basket and gave them candy for a year, so I decided to do some more 'international understanding' stuff! Embarking on a penpal project with Australia this month.

still impressed! I probably would have gone the candy-and-fruit-basket route. but then, I'm uber lazy and, well, as an American, not terribly cultural. I'm gonna stick to that story. And I love fruit basket.
