Aw, thanks! I think I was inspired by that scene where she comes back from France to see injured Matthew and she is just holding it together like a boss but you know she was sobbing the whole way there but in the train lavatory where no one could see her.

Oh, this is so Isobel. I love how she is (usually, until they frakked with her a little in season 2) so strong.

Lovely idea for a ficlet. Matthew pretending to be so grown up is very in-character I feel too.

Thank you! I love LOVE Isobel, and her relationship with Violet was one of my favorite things about S1. I love how strong she is but how that strength can catapult very quickly into a fault (her bossiness, intransigence, etc). I was somewhat appalled by what they did to her in S2 and am hoping they bring her back to form in S3. The CS was a start.
