Very interesting way of filling the prompt. I do think Edith is more old-fashioned than her sisters, and I trust Sir Anthony to be a good man and treat her well. Somehow, it doesn't seem like a skeevy power-play even with the mutual awareness of the affair and him asking her to be a little less independent for him. Unlike with Mary and Sir Richard, where it is entirely a skeevy power play.

I was meaning independent to be code for sleeping with other men. ;)

I'm glad it didn't come across all skeevy! I would have obviously written it incorrectly if it had!

I also hope Sir Anthony stays nice in season 3! I'll be deleting all these drabbles in protest if he doesn't! LOL

All love for this fic! I always enjoy your Edith fics and I really love her interaction with Sir Anthony here. You've really captured them very well. They feel so true and alive. And I like your characterization of Edith too.
