Poor Anna. Unfortunately, given JF's track record with her and Bates, she might just be right and something awful will happen.

I liked the rhythm of this drabble. And especially this section: they know that her heart has been torn out of her chest so many times to weep its blood onto the floor, only for it to be stitched closed again by his unpractised hands.

She and Bates do seem to face an uncommon number of obstacles in their courtship. What a terrible thing for her, such fear that can never be gotten rid of. The fear and tension are quite palpable in your drabble. I also like the role reversal of Anna suffering in (complete) silence, for the sake of Bates.

It's rather ridiculous, the number of obstacles in their way! Would it kill JF to let them have some happiness after everything they've been through? I was hoping to get that fear and tension across, so I'm glad that I succeeded.

Angsty and heart stabby but wonderfully written. Poor Anna, she does suffer greatly for the man she loves. Excellent work!! I think this captures her pov perfectly. I hope she finds some happiness in S3. :)

Yeah, it's about time that they found some happiness together, if only for the sake of Anna! She's an absolute saint to stand by Bates so stoically. Not many women would be able to do that, I don't think.
