I totallyagree thatthis should have been prepared much longer. Still, better thanCuddy's crazy turnaround in S5 finale. I had to stop reading midway because I missed the warning for spoilers (I prefer not to watch the promos). Please don't take this as a criticism, Ireally don't mind a few words, also anywaymy heart is too full. Ijust finished watching and I just want to watch it again. Thank you for helping me see the problematic parts of this episode, because, really? All I could see was Wilsoncryinginthatgoddamn car. Which was crashed in a field last week. PS Sorry for the spaces, I don't work well with the iPad spacebar and my husband is kept awake bythe sound of the keyboard and it's late here. Yes, I'm incoherent too.

Haha, literally all I remember from last night was the fake-patients scene (which I found very touching in a Housian way), the dinner scene, and the car scene. POTW? What's that?
I'm one of those people who's (usually) willing to let the problems go in favor of just enjoying the Hilson (though said problems do make me facepalm a lot of the time). But I understand why others would find them very bothersome/annoying.
Re: the car - the one that crashed last week was the 'vette. This was Wilson's regular old Volvo.
What did you find problematic in the POTW? I only saw him as a plot device to show the negative effects of repression and how such emotions and feelings are manifested in (literally) unhealthy ways. Much like House’s repression of his feelings manifesting in his blow-up at the patient and the whole toilet thing.
I'm going to TL:DR you because you make great points and it saves me making another post of my own :)
Stage II thymoma, five months? I can't even.
Yeah - I think they really needed to sell this better. I can see Wilson 'giving up' after a cycle or two of conventional chemo hasn't worked but to not even try?
Fingerprints, on wet pieces of paper.
Lol - I wondered that too :)
Once again, such a huge, huge pity that this is a four episode arc only.
Absolutely. run it over half a season, have Wilson undergoing treatment, gradually deterioating (you can have him being the rare person who doesn't lost their hair with chemo), and then come to this.
Other than that,
One of the few times that House confesses something like "I need you" so outright (is this the second, after Season 6's Wilson?) and Wilson blows up at him. In public, at that.
I'm excusing House & Wilson everything this episode because of the situation
Was the dinner genuinely House's attempt to accept it and do what Wilson wanted him to do (ie be
( ... )
I liked her with Wilson, didn't like the way she said a few words of wisdom to house and then he was all - oh yes, I see the errors of my ways now, I did like that she acknowledged what she did for him - yay, about time somebody did. Also I didn't like her blond.
This. Word for word.
I hope you will forgive me that I did like the stupid ending because I like having my heart stomped on. Except I would havewanted a slightly better motivation (House being out of state was a missed occasion). Plumbing? Er, uh?

You're forgiven :) I think it bothered me mostly because it seemed so contrived. Wilson has five months to live (exactly apparently) and House has to go to jail for six months - oh no! (And I still don't think the timeline works)
I think House must really, really, have pissed off his Parole OFficer (they have discretion, House is gainfully employed, saving lives, his best friend is dying, he was distraught...)

There was something in the POTW that I found very disturbing, but I'm still processing that - I did very much notice him, though.

House does strike me as the kind to piss off his parole officer. Especially with the whole feet in the hot tub ploy he had in Perils of Paranoia. Ha.
